E&C Announces Additional Details for Hearing on Online Disinformation

Washington, D.C. - Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Mike Doyle (D-PA) and Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Chair Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) announced today that the Communications and Technology and Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittees will hold a joint fully remote hearing on Wednesday, June 24, at 11:30 am (EDT) entitled “A Country in Crisis: How Disinformation Online is Dividing the Nation."

Last week, Pallone, Doyle and Schakowsky announced the subcommittees’ intention to hold a joint remote hearing exploring the spread of dangerous disinformation and misinformation online.

This hearing will take place remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
