Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chair Diana DeGette (D-CO) announced that the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a fully remote hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. (EST) on COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration. The hearing is entitled, “No Time to Lose: Solutions to Increase COVID-19 Vaccinations in the States."
“The Energy and Commerce Committee’s first hearing of the 117th Congress will focus on the urgent need to increase the rate of COVID-19 vaccinations nationwide," Pallone and DeGette said. “In order to bring an end to this dark winter, we must rapidly increase the supply, distribution, and equitable administration of these lifesaving vaccines. At next week’s hearing, we will hear from state health officials from across the country about the challenges they face getting more vaccines into the arms of Americans and what more Congress and the federal government can do to improve the national vaccination effort."
This hearing will take place remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
