Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Mike Doyle (D-PA), and Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Chair Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) announced additional details today on the fully remote joint hearing the Communications and Technology Subcommittee and the Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee will hold on Thursday, March 25, at 12 p.m. (EDT). The hearing is entitled, “Disinformation Nation: Social Media's Role in Promoting Extremism and Misinformation."
Last month, Pallone, Doyle, and Schakowsky announced Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will testify at the joint hearing.
This hearing will be conducted remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
