Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Health Subcommittee Chairwoman Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA) announced today that the Health Subcommittee will hold a fully remote legislative hearing on Tuesday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) on vaccine legislation. The hearing is entitled, “Booster Shot: Enhancing Public Health through Vaccine Legislation."
“The historic development of the COVID-19 vaccines has demonstrated the lifesaving potential of vaccines across the globe," Pallone and Eshoo said. “However, there is still more that can be done here at home to prevent future outbreaks by expanding access and coverage of vaccines, increasing awareness and uptake, and improving data collection. We look forward to considering legislation to improve and promote access to safe and effective vaccines for all Americans."
This hearing will be conducted remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
