Carl J. Kotowski, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration, Baltimore District Office; Larry Harmel, Director of the Mid Atlantic Regional Community Policing Institute, Johns Hopkins University; and the DEA Quantico, VA, Office of Training will present a four-hour Meth Awareness Training program to local Police, EMS, Fire and First Responders on October 5, 2006.
The training program, entitled “Meth Awareness" will help instruct First Responders to identify toxic methamphetamine labs so they can make safe decisions when in a potential dangerous situation. Education is the key when dealing with clandestine labs. Meth is manufactured using readily available ingredients that when mixed together can also be heavily toxic and explosive.
