Longtime Hollywood Resident Ran A Drug Trafficking Ring

The following press release was published by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration on March 12, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

MIAMI - Broward County Circuit Judge Martin J. Bidwill issued six arrest warrants for individuals involved in an illegal oxycodone distribution ring operating out of Hollywood, Florida. All six individuals were arrested yesterday.

* Kathleen (54, Hollywood) charged with: (1) Conspiracy to Engage in a Pattern of Racketeering Activity; (2-5) Trafficking in Oxycodone >7g; (6) Purchase of Alprazolam; (7) Actual Possession of a Structure for the Purpose of Trafficking in Illegal Drugs; (8) Unlawful Use of a Two-way Device.

* Roy (60, Hollywood) charged with:(1) Conspiracy to Engage in a Pattern of Racketeering Activity

* Jose (66, Hollywood) charged with: (1) Unlawful Use of Two-way Device; (2) Sale of Alprazolam

* Mark (40, Hollywood): (1) Conspiracy to Engage in a Pattern of Racketeering Activity; (2) Trafficking in Oxycodone; (3) Unlawful Use of Tw-way Device

* Wilfredo (54, Homestead) charged with: (1) Conspiracy to Engage in a Pattern of Racketeering Activity; (2) Actual Possession of a Structure for the Purpose of Trafficking in Illegal Drugs; (3) Unlawful Use of Two-way Device

* Henry (49, Hollywood) charged with: (1) Conspiracy to Engage in a Pattern of Racketeering Activity; (2) Purchase of Alprazolam

Kathleen Bickel was identified as the leader of this oxycodone trafficking organization that purchased and re-sold diverted pharmaceutical (oxycodone, Percocet) and (alprazolam), as well as cocaine and cannabis.

The charging document is merely an accusation and the defendants are assumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. This is being prosecuted by the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
