Quincy Man Sentenced As Career Offender

TALLAHASSE, Fla. - Walter Eric Holmes, 44, of Quincy was sentenced by United States District Judge Mark Walker to 180 months in prison for distributing cocaine and crack cocaine. Holmes, who pleaded guilty earlier this year, had a lengthy history of convictions, including seven drug felony offenses and an aggravated battery involving a shooting.

This joint investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Gadsden and Madison County Sheriff’s Offices. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael T. Simpson.
