Premier Colorado screening of Chasing the Dragon: Life of an Opiate Addict, with panel discussion
DENVER - An opioid and prescription drug abuse epidemic is sweeping Colorado and the rest of the nation, impacting all segments of society. To help raise awareness and educate young people about the dangers of addiction, the DEA and FBI have released the documentary Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict, a compilation of heart wrenching first-person accounts by addicts and family members of addicts about their experiences.
The premier screening of the documentary in Colorado will be held this Thursday evening, April 7, from 5-7 p.m.
After the film, hear from our panel, which includes a recovering addict, health, addiction, law enforcement and other experts about the toll opioids have taken on the people of Colorado.
Experts will be available for one on one interviews following the panel discussion. -
