Rep. John Kline (R-MN), the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee’s senior Republican member, issued the following statement today after a federal judge in Virginia ruled unconstitutional the individual mandate in the Democrats’ government takeover of health care:
"Facing an unprecedented federal overreach into the health care decisions of individual Americans, it is no wonder states and citizens have turned to the courts for relief from ObamaCare’s unconstitutional mandates. While I hope today’s decision is quickly affirmed by the Supreme Court, the reality is that job creators and workers need economic certainty now. That is why Republicans will continue to make repealing the health care law a top priority. The sooner this law is off the books, the sooner Congress can get to work on meaningful reforms to strengthen health care by finally bringing down costs."
