Foxx on CBO Partial Score for Democrats’ Socialized Drug Pricing Scheme

The following was published by the House Committee on Education and Labor on Oct. 11, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

Today, Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), issued the following statement on the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) partial score for H.R. 3, the Democrats’ socialized prescription drug pricing scheme:

“Lowering prescription drugs costs for American patients, workers, and families should and can be a bipartisan effort. Instead, Democrats are pushing H.R. 3, a radical scheme that eliminates choice and competition, and jeopardizes innovation, investment, and access to future cures. Democrats are so committed to this extreme plan that they have rushed a CBO partial score to advance their socialist agenda."
