Today, Republican Leader of the Committee on Education and Labor, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), criticized President-elect Joe Biden’s massive $1.9 trillion liberal wish list masquerading as a COVID-19 package:
“President-elect Biden’s plan just throws around more taxpayer money with no regard for its efficacy and regurgitates left-wing policy priorities. This proposal calls for a job-killing $15 minimum wage, does nothing to help individuals reenter the workforce with the skills they need to succeed, imposes additional one-size-fits-all federal mandates on small businesses, and fails to put us on a path to return to the pre-pandemic economy that allowed millions of Americans to thrive. Helping our nation’s schools, small businesses, and workers fully recover from the COVID-19 pandemic is a bipartisan mission. Instead President-elect Biden is taking advantage of this pandemic to push a radical liberal wish list."
