Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s speech on the one-year anniversary of COVID-19 lockdowns:

“America’s students are suffering, Mr. President. What they need is action, not empty promises. Months ago, your own CDC director said that ‘vaccination of teachers is not a prerequisite for the safe reopening of schools’. Instead of cowering to teachers’ union demands, I urge you to put students first."
