Today, Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement slamming President Biden’s Executive Order mandating a $15 minimum wage for federal contractors:
“President Biden’s Executive Order demonstrates yet again his commitment to left-wing allies at the expense of the American people and small businesses. Mandating a $15 minimum wage for companies of all sizes doing business with the federal government will adversely impact these businesses by reducing workers’ hours, eliminating jobs, and increasing automation. This is not how we revitalize our workforce and help people get back to work. In an effort to appease his liberal base, Biden is slamming doors in the faces of struggling Americans."
