Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) delivered the following statement after the House passed Biden’s infrastructure scheme:
“This kind of unsustainable spending is destroying our country. Democrats are like shopaholics running up credit card debt and then sticking the American taxpayer with the bill.
“It’s clear that Democrats aren’t concerned with the consequences of their actions. And they obviously don’t care that because of Democrat spending, many American families won’t be able to afford turkeys for Thanksgiving.
“Tucked into this bill are pay offs for union bosses - by expanding the Davis-Bacon Act to all energy construction projects, this Democrat bill will kill jobs, skyrocket inflation, and limit the ability of small contractors to compete on these projects.
“Instead of putting the American people first, Democrats are once again making the green lobby, the progressive wing of their party, and Big Labor their priority.
“Democrats are trying to foreclose on the American Dream. We cannot let them."
