WASHINGTON - Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement regarding House Democrats’ so-called China competitiveness bill:
“The last thing America needs right now is another legislative masquerade orchestrated by House Democrats - and yet, that’s exactly what we’ve received. With over 3,000 pages of misplaced priorities, this bill is nothing more than a conduit for more bureaucratic bloat from this administration. Democrats are failing American workers and families and giving the Chinese Communist Party a free pass."
Note: In September of 2021, Democrats voted against three amendments Republicans on the Education and Labor Committee offered that would have protected our students and institutions from the threat of the Chinese Communist Party.
