Washington, DC- Today, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Chair of the Subcommittee on Aviation Rick Larsen (D-WA) announced the subcommittee will hold a hearing titled, “Starships and Stripes Forever - An Examination of the FAA’s Role in the Future of Spaceflight." The hearing will explore broadly the future of the U.S. launch and spaceflight industry, its increasing use and saturation, and the FAA’s role in overseeing such an industry to ensure the public’s safety and the public good.on the committee’s website.
