WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Department of Labor has scheduled a meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, in Washington, D.C.
The meeting will include an update on key OSHA initiatives from Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health Loren Sweatt, and remarks from National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Director John Howard.

NACOSH advises, consults with, and makes recommendations to the Secretaries of Labor, and Health and Human Services on matters relating to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act of 1970 including regulatory, research, compliance assistance and enforcement issues.
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for providing safe and healthful workplaces for their employees.
