Memphis, TN - A first degree murder suspect who has been on the run for months was brought to justice today by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Multi Agency Gang Unit, and the Shelby County Sheriffs Fugitive Apprehension Team.
46 year old Timothy Wilkins was shot and killed on Sept. 13, 2018. On October 12 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Garrick Rose for the crime.
Earlier today the fugitive was tracked to a house at the 2800 block of Raja by investigators. He was taken into custody there. Rose was transported to the Shelby County Jail without incident.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the GCRFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, BATF, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
