Concord, NH - This morning, “Fugitive of the Week," Stephen Reagan, 24, was arrested hiding in a closet in Milton by members of the U.S. Marshals - NH Joint Fugitive Task Force. Reagan was being sought on an outstanding parole violation warrant on his original conviction and sentence for theft by unauthorized taking. Reagan also has an extensive criminal history involving drugs, thefts, assaults and weapons.
Mr. Reagan was featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on July 31, 2019. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Recently, the U.S. Marshals developed information that Reagan was recently seen in the area of a trailer park in Milton, NH. The fugitive task force was able to develop this information to a trailer in the 100 block of Pineland Park. During a search of this residence, Mr. Reagan was located hiding in a bedroom closet and arrested without further incident. Reagan was transported to the Strafford County Jail for processing and holding on his outstanding parole violation warrant and an additional warrant out of Hillsborough County for theft by unauthorized taking.
Also located in this residence was, Shaun Laws, age 29, who was also being sought on two outstanding arrest warrants for criminal threatening and criminal mischief out of Rochester District Court. Mr. Laws was arrested and turned over to the Milton (NH) Police Department for processing on his two outstanding warrants.
These arrests were made members of the US Marshals - NH Joint Fugitive Task Force from Strafford, Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties, along with deputy US Marshals and members of the Milton Police Department.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 7,751 arrests (Updated as of 07/25/2019). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
