Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Komar Shaqui Washington - a 41-year old Harrisburg man.
On July 24, 2019, Harrisburg police officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Sixth and Woodbine Streets for a stabbing victim. The victim was severely injured and immediately transported to Holy Spirit Hospital for emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition. On July 26, 2019, police officers obtained an arrest warrant charging Washington with Criminal Attempt - Homicide, Aggravated Assault and lesser included offenses for his role in this incident. Attempts to find Washington in Harrisburg were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.
Members of the Fugitive Task Force investigated and learned that Washington fled to Richmond, Virginia. Today at about 3:30 p.m., task force members arrested Washington without incident in the 5500 block of Chaparral Court, Richmond. He remains in the custody of Virginia officials pending his extradition to Pennsylvania.

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, and the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office - all of whom participated in this investigation.
