(Washington, DC) -- Today, Ranking Member Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD) wrote to Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) asking that the Committee invite U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) to testify at the Committee’s hearing on Thursday regarding GAO’s biennial “High Risk" report on government programs most susceptible to waste, fraud, and abuse.

"As Chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Contracting Oversight, Senator McCaskill has been at the forefront of examining the interagency contracting issues highlighted throughout the GAO report," said Rep. Cummings. "Her testimony also could assist the Committee in reviewing challenges that widespread contracting issues pose to the effective and efficient operations of the federal government."
