Martinsburg, WV - On Jan. 27, 2021, members of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Brown, 20, of Baltimore, MD. Brown was wanted by the Baltimore City Police Department for an attempted murder that occurred on January 9, 2021, in Baltimore.
The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force developed information that Brown was staying at a residence in the 100 block of South Kentucky Avenue in Martinsburg, WV. On Jan. 27, 2021, the Martinsburg Police Department’s Special Response Team executed a search warrant, on behalf of the task force, and Brown was taken into custody without incident.
“We greatly appreciate the assistance of the Martinsburg Police Department. Positive working relationships with our state and local partners are instrumental in our ability to continue apprehending these dangerous fugitives," said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Terry Moore.
The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force consists of members from the West Virginia State Police, Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Town Police Department, and Shepherdstown Police Department.
Brown is currently being held at the Eastern Regional Jail, as a fugitive from justice, and is awaiting extradition back to Maryland.
