WASHINGTON, D.C.- On Wednesday, June 15, 2016 House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) released a draft report recommending contempt charges for Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) Administrator Howard Shelanski for failing to comply with a subpoena for documents related to the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rulemaking.

OIRA is housed within the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) whose spokesperson released this statement in response to the contempt report, “OMB has worked in good faith to respond to the Committee’s subpoena regarding the review of the Clean Water Rule."
