Today, Commerce Secretary Gina M. Raimondo met with Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova to discuss the Department’s role in the export controls placed on Russia by the United States government and a broad coalition of partner-countries. The Secretary and Ambassador Markarova also discussed ways in which the Department of Commerce can continue to support the extraordinary humanitarian efforts in Ukraine through public and private sector engagement.
Secretary Raimondo further emphasized the Department of Commerce’s commitment in assisting Ukraine with sustained commercial relationships for the future.
