Today, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Director-General of Norad Bård Vegar Solhjell to discuss shared global development priorities.
Deputy Administrator Coleman and Director-General Solhjell exchanged views on approaches to support the localization of development assistance, as well as USAID’s and Norad’s shared commitment to addressing climate change by helping partner countries achieve access to public and private climate finance to achieve their climate goals and develop resilient infrastructure. They also discussed potential collaboration in follow-up to the Summit for Democracy, through programs to develop new tools, technologies, and partnerships to curb transnational corruption and to create a Charter for Digital Public Goods.
