Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released its proposed rule that would re-instate provisions of the controversial Obama-era recordkeeping rule:
“The Biden administration’s affinity towards more bureaucratic red tape and regulatory burdens that suffocate job creators is a recipe for disaster. OSHA’s latest proposed rule underscores how inept the agency has become under this administration. It’s disappointing, but far from surprising.
“This proposed rule will do nothing to improve workplace safety, and it encroaches upon the privacy of workers’ personal information while unfairly targeting job creators. OSHA’s bureaucratic idiocy is on full display yet again.”
