Memphis, TN - Mary Ozier, 26, who was wanted out of Shelby County for Criminal Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Employing a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony was arrested by U.S. Marshals around 9 p.m. last night. U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced today. Ozier was wanted in connection to a shooting in Whitehaven last month.
On March 25, Memphis Police responded to an incident at 1039 Chambliss Road where several people were involved in a fight. Ozier was allegedly one of the suspects that fired several shots from a vehicle, which struck someone multiple times. The victim was transported to Regional One Medical Center.
On April 2, the warrant was adopted by the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF). The TRVFTF and the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Ozier in the 3200 block of Stella Street without incident.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Western Tennessee Division of the TRVFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
