WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), issued the following statement regarding the House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing on oil prices.
“The surest way to bring down prices at the pump is to allow American companies to produce more oil here at home. That means offshore, on federal land, and in Alaska. It will help boost the economy, fight inflation, and make paychecks go further," said Barrasso. “From day one, the Biden administration has been blocking access to American energy resources. Today’s show trial is an effort to divert attention from Democrat-caused pain at the pump."
