Today, Dzokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty on all counts related to the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing. The Tsarnaev trial serves as a reminder that violent extremism is a daunting challenge in the cause to keep our country safe and secure. While we must always remain vigilant in the face of terrorism, we can be assured that our civilian criminal justice system, as shown today, can be a valuable tool in bringing terrorists to justice. I am pleased with the work of the Department of Justice and thank the jury for their service.
