There were nine press releases published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in February.

The most recent press release, "Commerce Department Awards $54 Million in American Rescue Act Grants to Increase Access to Advanced Manufacturing Opportunities," was submitted on Feb. 28.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology published eight press releases the month before, marking a 12.5 percent increase for the current month.

The Institute was created in response to the proliferation of inconsistent standards for weights and measures throughout the US.

One of its many accomplishments is the creation of an experimental quantum logic clock. It will neither gain nor lose a second in four billion years.
