Senator Chuck Grassley issued the comment below about changes announced today by the Food and Drug Administration regarding information about its advisory committees.
“The more disclosure by advisory committee members, the better, and the more transparency there is in how the Food and Drug Administration selects experts for its advisory committees, the better. FDA advisory committees play an important role in the regulation of drugs and devices. The credibility of their votes and recommendations will be enhanced by more information about who they are and what their interests are."
