Baucus Applauds House Ways and Means Committee Approval of Russia PNTR Bill

The following press release was published by the United States Committee on Finance Ranking Member’s News on July 26, 2012. It is reproduced in full below.

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) today applauded the House Ways and Means Committee’s bipartisan approval of the bill establishing permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) with Russia. The Finance Committee passed its PNTR bill unanimously last week. From Chairman Baucus:

“Plain and simple, Russia PNTR is a jobs bill. This bill will boost our exports and put our businesses, farmers, ranchers and workers in a position to succeed. And thanks to Chairman Camp and Ranking Member Levin, we’re one step closer to the finish line. Now the House needs to pass the bill so we can get this done before the August work period."
