WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, today issued the following statement on the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s FY2014 Annual Report:
“We continue to be very concerned with the further deterioration of the multiemployer pension program as conveyed in the PBGC's FY2014 Annual Report that was issued today. We’re committed to addressing the problems with multiemployer system. We owe it American workers to do everything feasible to ensure that retirees receive the promised pension benefits they worked hard to achieve."
