WASHINGTON -Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today released the following statement regarding the Highway Trust Fund:
“Our work to find a robust, long-term plan for the Highway Trust Fund is far from over. Putting yet another short term patch in place should serve as a wake-up call," said Wyden.
“Maintaining, much less modernizing, our transportation infrastructure needs cannot happen overnight. I’m continuing to work for an effective multi-year bill that combines bipartisan funding options with innovative private sector financing to fix our roads and allow us to better compete with China and Europe who make transportation a priority investment."
