Wyden Statement on Chairman Hatch’s Retirement

The following press release was published by the United States Senate Committee on Finance Chairman's News on Jan. 2, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement regarding the retirement of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, R-Utah:

“Senator Hatch has been not only a colleague but a friend who has served the people of Utah with great passion and dedication. This basketball player from Oregon can tell you it takes real endurance for a boxer like Senator Hatch to be in the ring for four decades. I wish nothing but the best for Senator Hatch and his wife Elaine as he continues to engage in public service."
