Levin Statement on December Jobs Report

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Jan. 6, 2012. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today made the following statement regarding the December jobs report:

“Today’s jobs report provides evidence that our economy continues to move in the right direction, yet there is much more work to be done. I hope House Republicans return to Washington more reasonable than when they left. American families should not again have to face the kind of enormous uncertainty created by the House Republican brinksmanship last month. There is far too much at stake for millions of families around the country as our economy continues its recovery from the worst economic crisis in decades."
