House Republicans push for deep cuts in reemployment and training programs while arguing that more education and training is needed

Even as they argue for new state requirements that unemployment insurance recipients obtain their GED and to allow states to divert UI funds for other purposes, they have pushed to dramatically cut work training programs, such as those under the Workforce Investment Act:
