Washington, DC - Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement in reaction to Rep. Tim Griffin’s (R-AR) announcement that he would not seek reelection next year.
“Tim Griffin is one of the most enthusiastic, hardworking Members of Congress I have ever served with. His dedication is second to none when it comes to creating a stronger economy, cracking down on the government’s abuse of power, and restoring Americans’ rights and freedoms. Knowing Tim as I do, I fully expect he will utilize every last minute he has left in his term to advocate for policies that will make America a safer, more prosperous place to live and raise a family. Tim has been a close ally, and his efforts will be key to any successes the Committee will have over the next year."
