Rep. Brad Wenstrup Recommended to Serve on the Ways and Means Committee

Washington, D.C. - House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) today released the following statement after the House Steering Committee recommended Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) to serve on the Ways and Means Committee:

“Dr. Wenstrup is an excellent choice to join our Committee. A decorated war veteran, small business owner, and doctor, Brad brings proven dedication to our country and invaluable experience to the team. I am excited to welcome Brad aboard as we take action to combat the opioid crisis, help move people off the sidelines and back into the workforce, and build upon tax reform to accelerate our economy."

Background: The House Steering Committee is responsible for recommending Members to serve on standing Committees in the House of Representatives. The recommendations are subject to approval by the House Republican Conference.
