Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Buchanan Announces Hearing on Tax Reform and Small Businesses: Growing Our Economy and Creating Jobs

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on May 18, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - House Committee on Ways and Means Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Vern Buchanan (R-FL) announced today that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing on how tax reform is helping small businesses grow their operations and invest in local communities and workers. The hearing will be the second in a series on the effects of tax reform. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in 1100 Longworth House Office Building, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Buchanan said:

“Small businesses create most of the jobs in this country. When small businesses succeed, the American people succeed. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s pro-growth policies will help them compete with larger corporations, grow their businesses, and reinvest in the economy. I look forward to hearing directly from the small business community about the ways that tax reform is helping them expand and invest in their workers."
