Neal Statement on Passage of Continuing Resolution

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Dec. 2, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House passed a Continuing Resolution to fund the government through Feb. 18, 2022:

“Republicans once again stymied our ability to pass a long-term funding bill, so today’s legislation is merely a stopgap measure. While the Senate GOP threatens to shut down the government in protest of President Biden’s efforts to protect Americans from dying of COVID-19, we will continue to work toward an omnibus funding agreement."
