United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher.
During the meeting, Ambassador Tai and Minister Schreinemacher discussed a number of trade issues, including WTO reform and the challenges both the United States and Europe face from non-market economy practices. Ambassador Tai and Minister Schreinemacher also discussed the strong transatlantic coordination that is underway in the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Schreinemacher agreed on the importance of the U.S.-Netherlands trade and investment relationship. They noted the need to promote corporate responsibility in the global economy and pledged to continue working together on this important issue.
