The bill is sponsored by Rep. James Comer with Mark Green as cosponsor.

Bill H.R.7409 titled “TRUST for Puerto Rico Act of 2022 Territorial Relief Under Sustainable Transitions for Puerto Rico Act of 2022” was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources and in addition to the Committee on the Judiciary for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned by the House of Representatives. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Ritchie Torres with Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon, Raúl Grijalva, Darren Soto, Nydia Velazquez as cosponsors.
