Local Residents Honored with NIST Crittenden Award

Seven Maryland employees of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, an agency of the Commerce Department's Technology Administration, have been honored with the 2000 Eugene Casson Crittenden Award. The award, established in 1967, recognizes superior achievement by employees who perform supporting services. The awardees are:

Curtis N. Fales, Physical Science Technician, Technology Services;

Anita K. Sweigert, Secretary, Physics Laboratory;

Emma L. Mickle, Custodial Worker, Office of the Director of Administration/Chief Financial Officer;

Michael S. Hatch, Planner/Estimator, Office of the Director of Administration/Chief Financial Officer;

Suzanne Schrider, Accounting Technician, Office of the Director of Administration/Chief Financial Officer;

Gene Leatherman, Instrument Maker, Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory;

and Brenda K. Stream, Printing Specialist, Office of the Director of Administration/Chief Financial Officer.
