NIST Gaithersburg Closed

The following press release was published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology on Jan. 27, 2011. It is reproduced in full below.

NIST Gaithersburg will be closed today. Non-emergency employees should stay home.

The Grounds Crew worked steadily through the night, but between the volume of snow, the freezing conditions, and spending several hours digging out staff so they could depart, the site is not prepared to open for business.

Roads and gates are clear but the parking lots and walkways are unsafe. Accessibility for disabled employees is not available.
