The lapse in federal appropriations has ended and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is open and meeting its mission serving the nation. Access to facilities is available, and personnel necessary to administer grant performance are now available.
Generally, grants that were funded and did not require access to facilities, government resources, including equipment and systems, or active administration by Government personnel continued performance. Grantee access to the Automated Standard Application for Payment (ASAP) system was available throughout the lapse period. Grantees operating on a reimbursable basis should submit invoices to their Grants Officer. The GMIS System is now available.
