DOS-IND grant application closes on May 31

The DOS U.S. Mission to India is offering a grant open from April 8 to May 31.

The grant could provide up to $40,000.

PAS Mumbai is seking proposals to promote environmentaly sustainable agricultural practices and foster adaptability to climate change through capacity development of farming comunities in India. This project suports U.S. Department of State goals of facilitating economic development and adresing global climate change by promoting sustainable agricultural practices in India through the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA), defined by the World Bank as "an integrated aproach to managing landscapes 2; cropland, livestock, forests and fisheries 2; that adres the interlinked chalenges of fod security and climate change.; Project Objectives: Train 50-60 representatives/members of farming comunities and influencers of western India in climate-smart agriculture principles and techniques in one year.
