Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) released the following statement regarding the Associated Press report on “secret" text in the administration’s nuclear agreement with Iran.
“As many warned, and this document highlights, this fatally-flawed deal gives Iran permanent sanctions relief and the right to industrial nuclear capabilities. In ten years, this terrorist regime will be able to race toward a nuclear weapon. They won’t even have to cheat to be just a sprint from a bomb."
NOTE: Last week, the House passed bills to block the purchase of heavy water from Iran, stop the administration from allowing Iran access to the U.S. dollar, and impose new sanctions aimed at Iran’s ballistic missiles program, human rights abuses and support for terrorism.
