UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon Joins Chairman Royce in Southern California

Washington, D.C. - United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon joined House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) for a discussion on international issues in Los Angeles, California.

Chairman Royce said: “From Iran’s march toward nuclear weapons and Assad’s deployment of chemical weapons -to the rise of ISIL and the Ebola pandemic, the commitment of the United Nations and its Member States has been put to the test.

“We all know, Mr. Secretary General, how hard you’ve worked in the face of great adversity. You’ve quite literally taken the weight of the world upon your shoulders.

“Thank you again for your commitment and sacrifice, both at the UN, and before that serving America’s great ally, South Korea. Best of luck in your future endeavors.".
