Washington, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement after the State Department issued a permit approving construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
“I applaud today’s approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, which had been rejected by an administration that put special interests ahead of national priorities. Keystone XL will support thousands of good-paying American jobs and will improve U.S. energy security. This decision also sends a message to the OPEC cartel and others that the United States, as the world’s leading producer of energy, supports its allies and partners.".
